Orphanage graduates

We keep on meeting with the orphanage graduates and trying to see how we can participate in their lives, help them and show that God the Father cares for them. Recently we met with two girls (one is 20 years old, another is 17 years old) to have tea, talk and see how we can help. The older one has three little kids (2 month, 1,5 years and 3.5 years old), another one is pregnant. We had some childrens clothes of different sizes to give to both of them. Please pray for us to have wisdom as we talk to the girls in the situations like that. We are especially thankful to Pat and Sharon who sent us blankets. Now the kids of these girls and the girls themselves have each a blanket to keep them warm and cozy.

About Youth Of Ukraine

The U.S partners of this organization are Jeff and Tonya Filleman and family along with our Ukrainian friends, Sergey and Julia Yarovoy. The organization was derived to facilitate the ministry to orphans and youth in Odessa, Ukraine and the surrounding areas. Our story begins with a missionary that we are in close contact with that works at Internot #4 in Odessa, Ukraine. A plea from her went out the middle of 2005 that informed us of an female child in the orphanage that was soon to turn 16 and would not be able to be adopted in the U.S. after that. Through an intervention of God we decided to make an attempt to adopt this child. As circumstances would have it, we were not able to complete our paperwork in time. We then decided to see what we could do to support this child in the Ukraine in the highly likely event that she would never be adopted. Given the circumstances, we decided to support this child in Ukraine no matter what it took. This in turn led Jeff to a trip to Odessa, Ukraine for a one week trip in March of 2006, where the world as we "Filleman's" knew it would change. Jeff spent the majority of his time at Internot #4 meeting and trying to relate with these children. Surprisingly enough, the majority of these children were "normal" given the circumstances that they had undergone. Other than the language, you would never know the difference between these children and those in an U.S school. Also included in the trip for Jeff, was the opportunity to meet with Sergey and Julia Yarovoy. They are a local missionary couple that were born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, that have over 10 years experience ministering and mentoring to the orphaned and homeless youth of Odessa. Jeff was sincerely touched by their proposed ministry and their results (as they had been the ones helping us out with our girl after we were unable to adopt her). In turn, we have offered to return the favor of their lifelong committment to these children, by offering to finance their ministries in their entirity. Which leads us to where we are today. Creating a sponsorship programs for these children and developing fundraising programs for their benefit. If you feel that you may be interested in donations or the Sponsorship program or would just like more information about it, please browse our site for further information or contact us.
